Welcome home Will

Today my (Lance) Brother-in-law came home from Saudi Arabia. He is in the Air Force and has been there for 6 months. We asked the girls if they wanted to go and be there to welcome them. We are so glad they did. It was wonderful.
We got to stand out on the tarmac and watch the plane fly in and land. They gave the plane an escort with sirens and it drove through an arch made by water guns from some firetrucks right over to us. I felt bad for all the families (especially the wives), it seemed to take them forever until they were able to get off the plane. The happy family is reunited. Will hasn't seen Kailee for half of her life.

Will finally gets to meet his new nephew.

I must point out. Since I have been in Cub Scouts (which rocks) my patriotism level has gone through the roof. We were all crying or holding them back. Seeing those boys in uniform and being a part of the sacrifice they go through is priceless, absolutely priceless!

"God bless the USA" and those that serve for our freedom. Thank you! We love you! We love you Will, welcome home!

Wow that is very cool that you guys got to be there... I actually just read an article in the Sunday paper about this event!

Even though I'm not technically American, I feel a deep sense of patriotism towards this country and especially towards our armed forces.

You can't help feel a little emotional when you see these awesome soldiers reunited with their families and think of their sacrifices. :)
